Copenhagen Academy of Fashion Design

Since the Fashion Designer program is classified as ongoing it is a formal demand that: 

The applicant has received minimum 12 years of formal schooling or has equivalent work-experience 

Besides this it is a requirement from the Academy that; 

1) The applicant is minimum 18 years old when applying. 

2) A motivated application must be submitted.  

3) Personal creative work must be presented. (Alternatively a creative assignment will be given) 

4) Interview with the academic management and teachers. 

Admission happens after evaluation by management and the teachers of the application and after an interview has taken place. This interview can be conducted online. 

(If elements which have been requested are missing in the application, it can be rejected without justification) 

During the interview we emphasize on the following; 

Academic ability 

Personal motivation 

Passion 

Professional goal

The Academy might dispense from the criteria above in rare cases. 

MERIT 

The Academy can in special cases approve the transfer of merit from other ongoing education, national or international, provided proof of the program is submitted for evaluation.  

There are no formal requirements for admission, but a motivated application must be submitted. 

After evaluation of the application an interview is scheduled with management and the program-director.

The program is ONLY for youngsters between 13 and 17 years of age. (You may no be 18 before start of the program) 

After 18 years there are other options at the Academy, like Summer Academy.  

Since the course is demanding, we reserve the right to select the participants based on your motivated applications.  Sewing skills are not required to participate.

Please note, number of participants is limited and not everybody can partake.
