
Do you want to experience a high paced and exciting short course at an international fashion- and design academy and how we teach? Are you interested in craftsmansship and the technical intricacies behind garment making? Then the Summer Academy is for you.
You will try the different subject areas we teach when we form and prepare coming fashion-designers for the business they are entering.
Through 3 weeks, the teachers takes you through a project period like the ones our fulltime students experience and you will make you own prototype.
The Summer Academy is for everyone, both beginners and advanced as we work with differentiated tuition.
Visits out of the house are also included!





Former participants have used the Summer Academy for different purposes.
Some will obtain more competence in patternmaking and sewing, come will come to experience and make the decision whether or not a technical/practical vocational program is something for them.
Other attends to experience our teaching methods and study-technique before applying for the full day-time program to become a fashion designer. As we use differentiated teaching methods, we can adapt the program individually.
You will meet international students travelling to Denmark to participate in our Summer Academy.

The program switches between solving of theory and practical-assignment.
You will be introduced to relevant design theory and encounter different creative and technical challenges, which you must solve in collaboration with the assigned teachers. Yuo will work with our extensive construction-program and of course adapted to your own measurements.
We are open for whichever ideas and crafts/techniques you want to try out.




A Study-trip ti Paris is possible.
A study trip would normally be from Thursday until Sunday evening and in Paris we would meet collaborators to the Haute Couture, visit relevant exhibitions and points of interest. The last evening before returning to Denmark, the Academy invites for a farewell-dinner in one of the grand historical brasseries.
The field trip Is not included in the course-fee.

We meet in our big airy new yorker-style loft in Århusgade 88, 5th. floor. All machines and tools are available are available
The Summer Academy will end with a Diploma reception where you can of your work.
Tuition-fee covers test-fabrics and teaching. Fabrics and materials for your own project, fieldtrip is not covered by the tuition-fee. (See more under field-trip) When you sign up we request a deposit of 4000,- The rest of the Course-fee is due 14 days before the Course starts. When signing up 14 days before the course starts, the entire course fee is due, where of 4000,- is deposit.
Participation can be cancelled up until 14 days before the course starts, whereafter the tuition-fee is returned minus the deposit. Deposit is non-refundable. If the Course is cancelled by the Academy, then deposit and full payment will be returned.
If you have scissors and a sewing-kit at home, please bring them. If not we have everything needed.
Remember that fabrics for your personal prototype is not included!
The kitchen-facilities are at your disposal and there are very good shopping-options very close by.
No, you do not need to prepare. We will meet you where you are and plan accordingly.
No, every participant will individual guidance.
The Summer Academy is open for everyone.
Yes, at the conclusion of the Summer Academy, you will get a Diploma showing the different disciplines you have received instruction in.
