
As a private institution and therefore not part of the public educational system we are not obliged to follow public rules and regulations. This gives us a unique flexibility when it comes to adjusting, change and develop our curriculum. The continued dialog with external collaborators, our students, program-evaluations and graduate surveys gives insight into the strenght of the program and uncovers focus-points for further development and improvement.

We work hollistically with the designproces to best support your professional progression, personal development and to give you the strongest competences and skills possible. The designproces is tried several times and under more complex circumstances, so that you can adapt to different work-situations professionally.
As a higly skilled fashion designer you must know patternmaking, fitting and adaptation. The steep learning-curve in our extensive pattern-program makes you confident with your technique and you are taught to seek solutions. All patterns are ofcourse done by hand before you are presented with digital solutions.
During the 4 semesters there is a important focus on acquiring techniques within Couture, tailoring or ready-to-wear. Each student can focus on and specialize in their different areas of interest during the prolonged project-periods.

Our philosophy
The vocational program to become a Fashion designer with us is more than just absorbing praksis and theory. Equally important is culture and respect of the different subject-areas we teach.
We urge the students to be open to other cultural and artistic areas then just fashion.
It is important for us to have smaller classes to ensure maximum gain from the program and leaning objectives.

Through dialog-based teaching each student obtain a unique and specialized education.
Besides the set and obligatory curriculum each student work independently during the project-periods on developing their personal knowledge, competence and skills. Alongside aesthetic and design-understanding.
To support the professional progression and personal development, the Academy emphasizes the understanding of process, however a full design-project will be graded in 8 different disciplines, equal creative and technical.
This gives a better understanding of the students competences, strenghts and weaknesses.
